The Momma of this pair is Teak. She is a Sf grey, spangle, yellowface II.
Jinx the daddy is a sky blue, greywing, spangle.

Jinx has had one clutch before and is split for INO, and this will be Teaks first time breeding!

She has already started laying and has 5 eggs so far... here are the dates she laid:

1. Dec 19
2. Dec 21
3. Dec 23
4. Dec 25
5. Dec 27

The first baby is due to hatch January 10th and so far they are looking to be fertile... Lets see how it goes!

They are doing great! For a first time mommy Teak is doing a beautiful job, I have not seen her leave her nestbox since she started incubating them so Jinx must be doing a good job feeding her too

She laid another egg the 30th too! So there are 6 total so far... I hope she doesnt get any more ambitious for her first clutch!

Here are the little Eggies! 6 and hopefully no more for Teaks sake hehe.

The first 5 are fertile (and I am suprised because I forgot to trim their little booties! lol!) Too early to tell with number 6.

The first 2 babies have hatched!

I can hear them squeeking and there are 2 empty eggs momma has thrown to the corners of the nest, but she is refusing to move for me to see if they are inos or not haha! Little stinker!

I am making up a fresh batch of egg food, maybe that will tempt her out for just a second so I can see and get a pic.

Teak is doing a great job so far! A very protective attentive mommy. She moved for half a second earlier (not long enough to get a pic unfortunately) and I could see the babies had nice full crops for as tiny as they are... thats what always makes me the most nervous with a new mom, since some don't catch on right away that that wiggly little pink thing is squeaking isn't just for fun!

Usually once they start feeding them its all down hill from there!

We have another little pink alien hatched today! This little girl has ruby eyes... she's the one in the middle of the pics.

All are doing well! I will never understand how the eggs can get so dirty with the nest being so clean! It takes real talent on baby budgies parts to make such a mess of everything despite our best efforts.

The last baby hatched today! (2 days late haha) So there are 5 little chicks in the nest out of 6 eggs... the one that didnt hatched was fertilized so I dont know what happened with it.

Here are some new baby pics while I was cleaning the nestbox! They werent too happy with me and were squeeking like crazy for my disturbing their warm little nest box and nap

Sadly the littlest one did not make it 24 hours from hatching, Teak is doing a great job with the other 4 though! They are growing like little weeds.

The first 2 babies are looking like normal or Sf spangles, baby 3 is an albino, and baby 4 is too early to tell anything yet but I am hoping for a DF spangle!

Pics for today!

Everyone is doing well! The colors are starting to come out a little on the oldest ones. One is for sure a yellowface and I think a spangle, the other looks like a normal grey or blue, and the albino girl looks like a yellow face too.

I love the first one where they are cuddling and the one baby is looking right at the camara.

The littlest baby is always hiding under everyone you are all probably starting to doubt of his existance except for the occasional bum sticking out.

The last clutch Jinx had was an albino and a DF spangle so I couldnt see the colors... he must be split for cinnamon as well.

After a 1 month break the nursery cage is back up and running! Here are some of the latest baby pics!

Baby 1(Cypress)- I have decided to keep this little girl! She is extremly sweet and laid back, and is already almost the size of both her parents at 4 weeks. She is going to be a little monster haha.

Baby 2- (Julio) He is all fluffed out now and loves snuggles!

Baby 3(Cala)- She has a very outgoing personality and is always looking to play!

And last but not least baby 4(Booberry)!

He is very much holding up to his reputation of being hard to photograph lol... he wont hardly hold still for a second!

All are doing good and the oldest are starting to eat more on their own

Since I am keeping the oldest baby I decided to leave her with mom and dad when I pulled the others for hand feeding, so thats why she is not in the nursery cage

This is the first day the little albino girl has been brave enough to try and tackle the perch! The youngest baby loves to snuggle with that toy in the corner lol.

Pics for the day!

Here they are all chowing down on their yummies for the evening!(as you can see from the messy faces lol) Mashed hard boiled eggs, greated carrots, romain lattuce, and zupreme pellets. Yum!

The youngest baby has really fluffed out in the last few days! He is best buddies with Julio hehe.

And just for you Jill some extra of Julio

I caught him in mid yawn... although the top got cut off a bit ha . He loves to sit under the light I have on top of their cage, and he is always right at the front of the cage when I open the door as you can see in the last pic... even if that means just standing in the food dish lol.

Here is everyone out for some play time!

Julio and his sister had a little bit of a argument over who got to be in the middle as you can see. They quickly made up though haha.

Everyone is fully weaned now onto zupreme pellets, veggies, and mashed hard boiled eggs that they love to smear all over themselves of course! The white ones are constantly orange from carrots, I don't know if you can see it in the pics but it is there!
