Recessive pied removes the pigment from select feathers on the budgies body (making them yellow or white) with up to 50% pied markings.
Pied Markings: There should be a pied patch on the back of the head. The wings and shoulders should have random pied patches, with a patch of body color between the legs around to the rump. Cheek Patches: Depending on the pied effected feathers they can be normal (violet etc) or white. |
Eye Color And Iris At Maturity: Black eyes with no iris.
Mature Adult Cere Color: Pink to purple in males. Light blue/white to tan in females depending on if they are in breeding condition |
