Single factor dominant Pied removes the pigment from select feathers on the budgies body (making them yellow or white) with up to 50% pied markings.
Pied Markings: There should be a pied patch on the back of the head. The primary flights up to the shoulder and tail feathers should have various pied markings. There should also be a band of pied feathers around the lower belly area. Cheek Patches: Depending on the pied effected feathers they can be normal (violet etc) or white. |
Eye Color And Iris At Maturity: Black eyes with white iris.
Mature Adult Cere Color: If the pied markings effect the cere of the male it can be a mix of pink and blue, other wise it should be deep blue in males and light blue/white to tan in females depending on if they are in breeding condition |
